The Grateful Heart
“When a system is far from equilibrium, small islands of coherence have the capacity to shift the entire system.”
Welcome to November 2023!
Let's talk about what that quote (above) means.
My take is that to put it simply - when we find peace and gratitude in our hearts, and in community- we send ripples out into the world.
"small islands of coherence" mean that when we align our hearts with others who are on the same peaceful path as us.
Finding like-minded communities that grow bigger and bigger can transmit energy (everything is energy anyway)
and be the harbinger of change toward a more peaceful world.
Let me be clear, the world is in flux now and if you've followed me for some time, you know that I've talked about the changes in consciousness and humanity that have been foretold.

While it seems like everything (the world) is falling apart, we can honor our own feelings (hopelessness, grief, etc); yet if we ask ourselves, "what is within my control?"
The answer is "OUR OWN ENERGY"
Again, this is not to pretend there isn't pain and suffering in the world, (there is)- but it's about managing our own energy and how we navigate what we can control.
So, by all means- be a voice for the oppressed, donate where you can, lead food drives or vote and do all of the things that support your community....
BUT ALWAYS return to the place of INNER PEACE!
This month is Thanksgiving; a chance for us to bow our heads and give thanks for all that we have and all that we are.
As the Holidays approach, we all have the chance to reflect on our lives and what we value.
Last month, I asked you to journal your inner thoughts and gave you some questions to ponder.
Many of you wrote to me saying you LOVED these thought provoking questions, so I'm going to list them again:
Find a sacred space, grab your journal and answer the following questions:
1) What will I NO longer accept in my life? (no longer accept being bored, tired, frustrated, sad, broke, angry, etc)? Will you no longer accept how others treat you or how you treat and talk to yourself? Think of all the things you are fed up with in life and wrtie them down.... then state why you no longer want them to be tolerated in your life.
2) What should Life really be like for me? Describe what you want your ideal day to be like. Write about how you should feel, what you stand for, what you will create and give, how you will treat other people, what routines or practices you will commit to eveyday. Describe in detail how you want to feel, give and experience in life on a consistent basis.
3) What am I committed to making happen in order to create my ideal life? What are you willing to STOP doing, what are you willing to START and keep doing until you succeed?
Write about the steps you will take to achieve this.
