"We are shaped by our thoughts; we become what we think.

When the mind is pure, joy follows like a shadow that never leaves.

Words are but pictures of our thoughts.

Change your thoughts and you change your world."

This week I want to talk about thoughts~ and our attitude toward them.

Many times our thoughts are like a run-away train and we can be so far down the tracks before we even realize it. (worry, anxiety, thinking about the past)

I've come to the conclusion that it really just boils down to this fact.

We can have 2 types of thoughts:

1) Things we can control

2) Things we can't control

Picture this, you've found yourself caught up in a line of thinking about a family member- (or co-worker, or partner) and they are angry with you about something you did or didn't do.

While we might feel we did the best we could, they are still not happy about it.

When you put it in perspective-

you can't control how they act, you can only control how you react.

Think of a current situation in your life.

Now, hover a bit higher for a moment and

see if it's something you can control.

If it's not, what's the next step you can take?

Here are some scenarios:

Q: When a jerk cuts you off in traffic-

what can you control?

A: Your reaction (believe it or not, I still have trouble with this sometimes)

Q: When someone says something nasty to you, what can you control?

A: You can tell them not to speak to you like that; but you can't control whether or not they will listen

Q: When you wake up in a mood and dread the day ahead of you, what can you control?

A: Your attitude (more on this below)

When you can say to yourself,

"I am choosing to create a great day, I'll look for the blessings and be grateful for the good that is already in my life.

I handle any problems with grace and ease."

It can help to shift your outlook and attitude.

Please understand that I'm not saying to shift your thinking into a pollyanna positive (and not believe able tone)---

I'm NOT talking about false positivity.

What I AM saying is that we are the only ones who can control

our thoughts and our energy-

SO, the responsibility shits back to you.

When you go a little deeper;

you can ask yourself-

"What is within my control?"

I leave you with this:

instrospection question:

🔥 How can you bring more awareness to your thoughts?"🔥

Have a great week! I'm Celebrating YOU,

with so much love,

PS: Feeling wonky and need additional support?

It's important to believe in yourself and shine your light again.

If you've been playing it small and safe (and I understand these past few years haven't been easy for many); now is the time to get BACK ON TRACK, reclaim your power and live to the true reason you were put on this earth.
