What is Alignment and How Do I Get There?

The simple answer is: "Follow your Energy."

We humans are a funny bunch, don't you think? We know we should take better care of ourselves yet we don't, we know we should eat healthier, yet we don't, we know we should get more sleep, yet we stay up and play solitaire until 1 am. And so it goes...

What does "Alignment" mean to you? 

Here's my definition: 

Alignment = Body, Mind and Spirit are all on the same page

 

"I know what I need to do, yet I'm not doing it? Why is there such a disconnect?"

This has been a common complaint that I've been hearing from many of my clients. 

 Ponder this:

There is a big difference between the intellect and the instinct. While some of us understand the concept of eating healthy and caring for our bodies; our natural reactions to stressors varies individually~ and sometimes our knee-jerk reaction is to numb out with food. In other words~ We know we need to take better care of ourselves and eat mindfully; but sometimes the emotions are too overwhelming~ so we soothe ourselves with food.

Ask yourself this question: "What am I needing in this moment?" then wait for the answer.........

 

It's interesting to note that when you get into Alignment with who you truly are, everything falls into place.  Consider this quote by Po Bronson: "Who you ARE is more important than what you DO. The goal is to bring what you do in Alignment with who you are, so you don't end up being someone you don't want to be."   

 

It is my sincerest wish that you find your alignment to your truest self~ That will be when everything will fall into place.

I had plans.... glorious plans...

Then I experienced the cosmic 2x4. That's my term for a course correction in life.

For me, it was a freaky fall, landing on my elbow, bruising a few ribs has set my plans on hold for now.

To be truthful, I've had some  'why me?' moments where I question the higher purpose.  I've questioned what I could have done differently. Yet, the answer I get is "shit happens" and sometimes we don't know the higher purpose.
