Contemplating these times and I keep hearing the words "These are the days" ....what that means for me is to be present with all of the feelings and emotions that are surfacing. Not getting caught in them; but allowing each to express. Through writing, music, walking, nature- those are some of the outlets for me.
Yet there's more: I am feeling for everyone who is experiencing challenges in their lives right now. "These are the days" reminds me to focus on all the things I appreciate and am grateful for.
We're not all meant to be Gandhi or Mother Teresa, but we were all born with unique gifts and talents- and if we're not sharing them with others- well, then we're not living up to our full potential.
I think many people believe that they either have to do something major with their lives or leave a legacy- but that's not true.
At the end of the day if you can answer these questions, it will all be a life well lived.
1) Did I make a difference in someone else's life?
2) Was I kind (to myself and others?)
3) Did I listen to my heart?
Buddha says it here: “Teach this triple truth to all: A generous heart, kind speech, and a life of service and compassion are the things which renew humanity.”
So I ask you this:
ARE YOU DOING THE THINGS THAT SPEAK TO YOUR SOUL???
If the answer is YES- then keep doing it! The world needs you! And, if the answer is NO- then ask what would it take for you to live more fully from your heart?
