I’d never heard of “Giving Tuesday” until today.
Like you, I support many different charities and organizations to help the betterment of this planet. I do that when I feel the urge. Not on some specific day~ dreamed up by the marketing “gods.”
Giving Tuesday- I didn’t realize that it’s a “thing.” When I got on the computer this morning to check my inbox, there were at least 10 emails with the subject line- “Giving Tuesday.” Then, they each proceeded to ask for donations.
Was it to make me feel guilty for enjoying great sales on “Cyber Monday?” Or to free my soul from camping out for “Black Friday?” (rest easy, there was no camping)
Truthfully, the onslaught of “Giving Tuesday” emails in my inbox got me thinking~
Here’s my response:
Every day is a “Giving” day for me….
I try to Give:
Every day should be “Giving Day.”

Then I experienced the cosmic 2x4. That's my term for a course correction in life.
For me, it was a freaky fall, landing on my elbow, bruising a few ribs has set my plans on hold for now.
To be truthful, I've had some 'why me?' moments where I question the higher purpose. I've questioned what I could have done differently. Yet, the answer I get is "shit happens" and sometimes we don't know the higher purpose.
