April 2015 Newsletter

NEWSLETTER

With outer distractions vying for our attention- it is increasingly more important to place our focus on our inner world. It is interesting to hear the reasons why we don’t have the time to meditate- and even though we know the benefits, it can be tough to carve out time for ourselves.

Spring clean your brain- time to declutter all the accumulated stuff that no longer serves.

Welcome to APRIL!  This is going to be an exciting month as we continue to move forward.  The energies are intense, as we are still clearing out all that no longer serves, but it is different as we can now taste the new that is on the horizon.  People everywhere seem to notice the changes (both inner and outer) and it is amazing to witness.

It might be tough, but finding space to do the deep inner work is extremely necessary.  It is a form of self-love that some of us are not used to giving ourselves.  It involves setting up boundaries and drawing the curtains if only for a short while.  Take away all the distractions that demand your attention and what are you left with?  You and your essence- and it is a good thing to get to know.

This month, we will continue to focus on the inner essence- and it is all about allowing yours to shine out.  Imagine YOU, in all your divinity, shining brightly to those all around you!  What a difference we can make within ourselves and the world when we live from this higher truth.

When I allow myself to “get out of my head” and “into my heart” the world just looks different.  Not an easy thing for me, as I’ve spent my whole life in “my head”…but as such, it is a practice.  As is living more consciously. Like:  looking in the eyes of someone who is speaking to me.  Allowing myself to show vulnerability.  Living from the core.  Just noticing my breath.  Eating consciously.  Spending time outside and actually noticing the surroundings.  Pushing myself to try something new.  Being comfortable just “BEING.”

Thank you all, for your wonderful support and your comments on this newsletter.

Please see the Events Calendar for our workshops and meditations- as always, even if you can’t join us in Sea Cliff for a meditation, you are invited to use the themes and ideas in your own communities.

in JOY-

MINDFUL MINUTE:

Monitor your thoughts- every time you have a negative thought or belief about yourself- stop it. Re-frame and turn it into something positive. Eventually, you will re-train your belief system about what is possible.

“Grace and abundance surround me like a soft embrace,
the warmth I feel emanates
from the essence within.
I know no other feeling but a
deep sense of peace” -cme
