3 Ways to feel more AWAKE, AWARE, and ALIVE

Does this song sound like your life? Are you feeling a bit disconnected these days? Are you just running through your daily routine just to get by?

We can’t blame everything on Mercury Retrograde or other astrological events; sometimes feeling this way can be viewed in a positive way, as it gets to get us to slow down, and bring our focus to what matters most.

Many clients I work with are most definitely struggling to feel more engagement in their lives and to feel that that are participating fully in creating a better life for themselves and their families. They know there is more to this precious life that just slogging through the daily chores, dragging themselves to bed and getting up to do it again. Amen.

Here is a technique that I love to share to help people to feel more

AWAKE, AWARE and ALIVE

STEP ONE-

AWAKE-  When you get out of bed each morning, take 3 FULL and DEEP breaths to welcome in the day.  Feel as the energy of Gratitude fills your soul.  Then ask the question to the Universe-  “What is the Purpose of this day?”

 

STEP TWO-

AWARE- Bring your full attention into the present moment.  Notice how you feel (observe without judging), and relax into your being.  When you are in conversation with someone, keep your attention on them- look them in the eyes.  Notice when you are rushing around from one activity to the next and remember to focus on the NOW moment. 

 

STEP THREE-

ALIVE- Get up and dance, or take a brisk walk, take a salsa class.  Thank the Universe for breathing life into you!  Do things that break you out of your comfort zone~ and do these daily. It’s time to change into your to your shiny new mindset, let go of those old belief systems and rattle your cage a bit. 

Remember to Love who you are, and to LOVE who you are!

Thank you so much for your kind words, Matt! To answer your question about follow through, I always tell people to lead with compassion for themselves. Remember, it takes courage to change life-long behaviors. My recommendation is to program your phone to remind you (every few hours or so) to TAKE A DEEP BREATH. My clients love this, as it helps to bring the focus back into the present moment.

I couldn’t agree more. Very beautiful post. Even though it was a little later in my morning I followed your post and did al your recommendations and WOW. What an effect it had immediately on my emotions, my spirit and overall well being. You are a real gift and all you share is always so spot on. Look forward to seeing more and learning more. What do you recommend for someone that has a tough time following through on a practice like this? I know it seems so simple but I remember when it was hard for me…..Big Love, Matt.

Life is a Miracle and a Mystery

 At the beginning of this year, I set an intention to bring more JOY back into my life. and to have more fun.
Some of you might know that 2018 was a fairly rocky year for me; (as I know it was for many of you too) but I'm a firm believer in letting the past teach me what I need to learn and pay attention to living in the present.
